Our Founder
Keecia (rhymes with “Lisa”) created *Impact for Hire nearly a decade ago to help ensure that nonprofit and school leaders reflected the diverse communities in which they serve and work. Tired of hearing that talented leaders of color are “unicorns”, she set out to build a practice where the presence of people of color and other underrepresented groups in nonprofit leadership searches was a norm rather than the exception. This commitment has resulted in an exceptionally high placement rate of nonprofit and school leaders of color.

Impact for Hire is the culmination of Keecia’s 20+ years of education and nonprofit leadership experience. She has served as a teacher, a Development Director, E.D. and VP for national and socially responsible nonprofits, and is currently the President of her local school board, Oak Park District 97. She has successfully led executive searches in every region of the country, and has found her professional mission in helping nonprofits hire leaders that will help them realize their impact.
Keecia is a proud native of Southern California, by way of L.A., who has spent more than 10 years in the leafy Chicago-area suburb of Oak Park. She graduated cum laude from Occidental College in Los Angeles and received her master’s degree from the University of Illinois.
