Web & Social Media Content Producer Apprenticeship
What you can expect to do:
Editing image sets and or video content
Adding keywords, especially easily searchable terms or wording
Correcting and editing captions, keywords and metadata
Website mapping and UX/UI prototyping
Sourcing and uploading interesting and engaging visual content to the site
Responding to messages and comments from viewers/users/contributors
Cropping, lightening and color-correcting images
Video editing, converting images, and creating GIFs using Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects
Producing generic and campaign-specific graphics and video for social media.
Assist in the design and execution of a variety of projects Prepare files for print and web
Ability to work on multiple projects while managing time efficiently Able to work independently and in a team setting Ability to think creatively and communicate ideas to the team
What we’re after:
Experience using DSLR (and relevant equipment) for quality photography and videography (Owning a camera, a plus).
Experience working with website builder platforms like Squarespace.
Resourceful and self-motivated
Able to think outside of the box.
Knowledge of social media platforms and the variety of content that is successful on each of them.
You are passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and digital storytelling.
Knowledge of how to promote campaigns on social media
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator).
A passion for creative marketing, digital advertising, or multimedia
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
What is needed to be considered:
University or college undergraduate studying marketing, visual journalism, film, or any related major(s).
Ability to accept credit hours as a part of compensation (freelance opportunities available on an as needed basis).
Own laptop
Must be able to travel to our office in New Orleans for at least 8 hours per week. Candidate can work remote, with at least 2 hours of in office time a week.
What you need to know about this position:
- This is an unpaid position with a 6-month commitment.
- Opportunities for commission: During your term you will get first dibs on any overflowing projects outside of the normal workload. You'll be paid as an independent contract. This is only on an as needed basis.
Videography & Photography for Social Media Marketing
What you can expect to do:
Produce raw videography and photography for internal content production campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Produce photography and video for internal marketing and advertising
Manage talent or products (if involved) and ensure that all personnel deliver their best performance for the good of the completed picture or show.
Assisting in organizing video shoots and storyboards.
Producing or assisting in branded photoshoots for web or social media.
You are passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and digital storytelling.
Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video recording and editing
Working as part of a team and under Growhaus’ Creative Director to produce high quality, consistent video to tight deadlines.
Experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements that benefit client work or internal multimedia projects.
Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable.

This position is great for an individual who meets some or all of these:
Experience using DSLR (and relevant equipment) for quality photography and videography (Owning a camera, a plus).
Interest or experience in producing a documentary, a web series, or video shorts of any kind.
Proficient or some experience in producing content with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator).
A passion for video, photo, and the best techniques.
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
